DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and manage automated provisioning pipelines (PXE, ZTP) for deploying bare-metal servers (including configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in line with standards and project/operational needs) at scale across global data centers.

• Investigate and propose innovative and automated methodologies for system administration tasks.

• Conduct routine security monitoring to detect any potential intrusions.

• Troubleshoot and recover from hardware or software failures, collaborating with affected teams.

• Regularly apply OS patches and upgrades, as well as update administrative tools and utilities.

• Oversee the maintenance of data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

• Execute ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts as part of the incident response team.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as engineering or computer science.

• Proficient in coding with Shell, Python/Java, and SQL commands.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet/Chef for managing bare-metal configurations and automation.

• Strong knowledge of L4/L7 load balancing (HAProxy/Nginx) and network performance tuning (TCP/IP stack optimization).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration/debugging, scripting, and related tools.

• Familiarity with pipeline/orchestration tools like Jenkins/Airflow and similar platforms is essential.

• Proficient knowledge of observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB) is required.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.

• Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix will be an added advantage.
