DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and enhance CICD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.

• Oversee and sustain our cloud infrastructure on AWS, which includes ECS, RDS, DocumentDB, Redis, and more.

• Transform cloud infrastructure into code utilizing Terraform.

• Establish and uphold cloud security measures and best practices.

• Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and guarantee high availability and scalability.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment processes and enhance system reliability.

• Implement strategies to optimize cloud expenses and resource utilization.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in cloud technologies and industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in AWS services, including ECS, RDS, DocumentDB, Redis, and CloudFormation.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing CICD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket Pipelines, or comparable tools.

• Strong grasp of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

• Proficient in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions including CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and infrastructure management.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices within cloud environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.

• Proactive attitude focused on continuous improvement.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering position.

• AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred.
