DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Support Ticket Queue: Effectively prioritize and resolve issues by managing work assignments in accordance with SLA delivery and available resources.

• Troubleshoot and Resolve Technical Issues: Aid in identifying and rectifying technical challenges and escalations stemming from incoming requests/incidents.

• Investigate and Diagnose Problems: Conduct comprehensive research to identify and resolve technical issues related to our application toolset.

• Administrative Functions on Atlassian Tools: Execute administrative duties and server maintenance utilizing CLI on Atlassian platforms (Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket Data Center).

• Atlassian Customization: Implement customizations at the project and space levels for Jira Data Center.

• Product Upgrades: Provide assistance in executing product upgrades to keep our systems current.

• Gen AI Tool Support: Assist developers in setting up and managing Gen AI tools.

• Monitor Application Performance: Regularly observe the health of applications to ensure optimal functionality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in technical support or a similar position for a minimum of 3 years.

• Strong analytical skills and the capability to troubleshoot intricate technical issues.

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools and server management via CLI.

• Experience with administrative tasks on Atlassian applications.

• Background in application monitoring and maintenance.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Knowledge of Gen AI tools and their management is advantageous.

• Required experience in application server support and Linux administration.

• Ability to demonstrate proficient troubleshooting/diagnostic skills and analytical thinking in a dynamic IT environment.

• Exhibits initiative and works independently to resolve identified issues.

• Proficient in coding and scripting languages such as BASH and Python.

• Understanding of CI/CD processes and practices in Jenkins.

• Experience with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Acquainted with Configuration Management using Ansible.

• Familiar with Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.
