DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines within GitLab (pipelines-as-code, runners, templates, caching, artifact strategies).

• Oversee container platforms utilizing Kubernetes (deployments, ingress, services, HPA, troubleshooting).

• Sustain container build and runtime workflows with Docker (image optimization, multi-stage builds, registries).

• Integrate DevSecOps methodologies into delivery: SAST/DAST/dependency scanning, secrets scanning policy gates, approvals, and compliance-friendly pipeline enhancements for image hardening and runtime controls.

• Enhance reliability and performance: monitoring/alerting, log aggregation, incident response, capacity planning, scaling, and resilience improvements.

• Collaborate on architectural decisions while documenting standards and runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with GitLab CI/CD and Git workflows.

• Practical experience in Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting in a production environment.

• Proficient in Docker (building, tagging, pushing, registry workflows, and security best practices).

• A security-focused mindset with experience in implementing DevSecOps controls within pipelines.

• Strong Linux knowledge, foundational networking skills, and scripting abilities (Bash; Python is a bonus).

• Preferred: Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Loki, etc.

• Familiarity with Helm.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and managed Kubernetes services (EKS/AKS/GKE).

• Knowledge of container security tools like Trivy, Grype, OPA/Gatekeeper, Falco, and Kyverno.
