DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and construct advanced CI/CD pipelines for swift feature deployment across microservices and distributed systems.

• Utilize AI code-generation tools to expedite pipeline development and implement smart testing strategies.

• Create custom pipeline scripts and integrations utilizing Python and shell scripting.

• Architect GitOps workflows with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar platforms.

• Execute progressive delivery strategies, including blue-green deployments, canary releases, and feature flags.

• Enhance build processes using AI-driven caching, parallel execution, and dependency analysis.

• Advocate for AI tool adoption throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

• Employ AI pair-programming tools to develop Terraform modules, Python automation scripts, shell scripts, Kubernetes manifests, and troubleshooting workflows.

• Apply AIOps practices for self-healing systems, intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.

• Leverage AI-driven monitoring, observability, log analysis, and root-cause analysis to minimize MTTR.

• Create developer-friendly platform tools that simplify infrastructure complexity.

• Automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, security scanning, compliance checks, and operational runbooks.

• Develop Python automation scripts and CLI tools to enhance operations and system integration.

• Design Kubernetes container orchestration strategies with AI-enhanced optimization and scaling.

• Implement AI-powered capacity planning, cost optimization, security scanning, and vulnerability remediation.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine delivery pipelines and eliminate bottlenecks.

• Assess and integrate emerging AI technologies.

• Generate documentation with the help of AI assistants.

• Promote DevOps culture through mentorship, best-practice advocacy, and technical leadership.

• Establish feedback loops from production monitoring into development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of DevOps experience with a strong emphasis on CI/CD.

• Expert-level experience in designing and implementing complex CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools.

• Advanced knowledge of GitOps principles and tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, or Spinnaker.

• Strong understanding of build optimization, artifact management, and deployment strategies.

• Experience with canary deployments, blue-green releases, and feature flags.

• Proficiency in continuous testing strategies, automated testing frameworks, contract testing, and test environment management.

• Extensive Git expertise, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, and trunk-based development.

• Proven production experience with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon CodeWhisperer, or similar.

• Strong skills in prompt engineering.

• Demonstrated efficiency improvements from AI tool adoption in previous positions.

• Understanding of responsible AI practices, including security considerations and code validation.

• Experience with AI-enhanced testing, security scanning, or deployment automation.

• 2+ years of practical AWS experience, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.

• Expert-level Terraform skills for infrastructure as code.

• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including multi-cluster management.

• Strong background in automation using Ansible, Chef, Salt, or similar tools.

• Advanced Python programming skills.

• Expert-level shell scripting with Bash or sh.

• Solid understanding of platform, application, and data security, including SOC2 compliance requirements.

• Expertise in Linux/Unix systems and system administration skills.

• Knowledge of databases across relational, NoSQL, and distributed data stores.

• Preferred: experience with AIOps platforms, MLOps, artifact repositories, FinOps, service mesh technologies, observability platforms, and multi-cloud environments.
