DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance infrastructure across both Azure and AWS platforms.

• Manage and secure services such as AKS, Docker Swarm, Azure Application Insights, Amazon ECS, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, ALB, API Gateway, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.

• Spot opportunities for cost optimization as the platform grows.

• Create and maintain CI/CD automation for swift and dependable software delivery.

• Promote the use of vibe coding, agentic SDLC, and AIOps methodologies.

• Track system performance and observability metrics to enhance availability and scalability.

• Enforce security and compliance best practices.

• Work with QA to establish automated testing and deployment strategies.

• Collaborate with Development to integrate and deploy new features and updates.

• Address and resolve system incidents while minimizing downtime.

• Oversee infrastructure and deployment tasks, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to dependable releases.

• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, observability, security, deployment efficiency, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing/deployment, and AI-enabled operational workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps or comparable role.

• Extensive experience with Azure and AWS services along with infrastructure as code.

• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, especially Docker.

• Experience managing modern SaaS web applications, including auto-scaling, load balancing, gateways, monitoring, observability, and secrets management.

• Proficiency with Azure and AWS infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CDK.

• Demonstrated experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Github Action and Jenkins.

• Knowledge and experience in vibe coding, agentic software development lifecycle practices, and AIOps tools.

• Understanding of security best practices along with experience implementing security protocols in cloud environments.

• Awareness of the OWASP Top 10 web application security vulnerabilities.

• Strong grasp of software security principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while engaging stakeholders across the organization.
