DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate effectively with architects, developers, QA, and security teams to ensure seamless and dependable environment operations.

• Partner closely with the platform team, emphasizing shared ownership, knowledge sharing, and mutual assistance.

• Manage and operate containerized application platforms utilizing Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

• Design and implement dynamic test environments at scale, enabling multiple parallel deployments on a per-merge request basis.

• Construct, maintain, and standardize CI/CD pipelines by developing reusable templates and components in GitLab CI.

• Propel deployment automation and GitOps methodologies.

• Detect operational bottlenecks and introduce automation to minimize manual tasks and enhance delivery speed.

• Integrate security-by-design principles throughout the SDLC, including pipeline hardening and automated security checks.

• Create and manage observability platforms: monitoring, logging, and diagnostics using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK/Loki, etc.

• Engage in on-call duties and incident response, encompassing troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-mortem evaluations.

• Assume full ownership of the solutions you develop (“you build it, you run it”).


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer in web-based systems.

• Proficient in Docker: image building, maintenance, registries, and Docker Compose.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes: deployments, networking, ingress, secrets/configurations, and troubleshooting.

• Expertise in CI/CD with GitLab CI, focusing on deployment automation (Helm or Kustomize).

• Experience with branch-based or ephemeral environments, or the capability to design and implement such solutions in practice.

• Knowledge of observability: metrics, logs, and tracing using Grafana and related tools.

• Experience with ingress/reverse proxy solutions (e.g., Traefik or similar): TLS, Let’s Encrypt, routing, and mTLS.

• Understanding of security and IAM concepts: OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, token, and permission management.

• Exceptional communication skills, a strong collaborative mindset, and a readiness to assist others.

• Proficient in English.
