DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines for a variety of projects.

• Automate repetitive tasks through scripting and using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.

• Provide support for the management of on-premise environments.

• Administer and optimize GitLab repositories, CI/CD workflows, and integrations.

• Monitor and manage both system and application performance.

• Implement and uphold security best practices.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure efficient releases.

• Document and sustain infrastructure and processes.

• Assist in transitioning legacy systems to contemporary solutions.

• Conduct regular updates and patches for systems and applications.

• Set up and manage logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).

• Manage incidents and provide technical support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role or a similar capacity.

• In-depth understanding of CI/CD tools and methodologies.

• Familiarity with GitLab, particularly in repository management and CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

• Strong background in Linux/Unix systems.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Basic understanding of networking and security principles.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is an advantage.

• Experience with low-code platforms such as Mendix is a plus.

• Strong communication skills in English.
