This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

• Lead and guide the Development teams.

• Convert product requirements into internal engineering development strategies.

• Oversee the processes for bug triage and feature requests.

• Ensure that development activities are in line with priorities set by product management.

• Monitor the progress of tasks, epics, and releases.

• Identify obstacles and ensure they are resolved promptly.

• Provide regular updates regarding development status, risks, and timelines.

• Ensure that quality standards are upheld prior to release.

• Coordinate efforts with the engineering team: development, QA, and technical documentation.

• Manage the QA function related to products.

• Maintain development processes and enhance execution efficiency.

• Define and implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.

• Foster a high level of engagement within the development department.

• Own and maintain a backlog, ensuring it is organized, actionable, and up-to-date.

• Ensure the management of team capacity, workload balance, engagement, and performance standards.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience as a Development Manager or in a similar role.

• Demonstrated ownership of software development cycles, releases, and team management.

• Experience in leading distributed teams in a fully remote setting.

• Strong background in networking, infrastructure, or cloud-based development is essential.

• Hands-on experience with the certification of development processes is required.

• Familiarity with open-source or open-core environments.

• Experience in automation, AI, and task management for Infrastructure, including Jira automation.
