This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as a trusted technical consultant for research laboratories, pinpointing and expediting high-impact tasks by incorporating NVIDIA's frameworks, libraries, and essential software stack into research initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and map the research landscape to identify growth opportunities for the institution and guide long-term technological strategies.
• Keep abreast of research publications within related fields to foresee emerging trends and provide technical guidance on prospective collaboration areas.
• Collaborate across various teams, including Research Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Development, to enhance researcher support.
• Develop closer relationships with lab staff to grasp organizational dynamics and the comprehensive scope of research activities.
• Participate in scientific conferences relevant to the domain and facilitate NVIDIA's involvement alongside other subject matter experts.
• Advocate for researchers internally by converting academic feedback into actionable insights that influence product development, educational initiatives, and platform roadmaps.
• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent experience showcasing comparable research expertise.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of agentic AI systems, which includes LLM agents, tool utilization, planning, reasoning, memory, retrieval, code execution, workflow automation, and multi-agent systems.
• Profound understanding of cutting-edge research challenges in agents, such as long-horizon task completion, evaluation, reliability, safety, observability, alignment, and failure recovery.
• Practical experience in constructing or assessing agent systems utilizing modern AI frameworks, model APIs, orchestration tools, retrieval systems, sandboxed execution, and research-grade deployment methodologies.
• Capability to engage with leading AI laboratories on topics including autonomous systems, tool learning, multimodal agents, embodied agents, scientific agents, and collaborative human-AI workflows.
• Research credibility demonstrated through publications, prototypes, open-source contributions, academic partnerships, or technical leadership in agentic AI, foundation models, autonomous systems, or applied AI research.
