Developer Advocate – Cloud Native, Security, Service Mesh

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Engage with our user and contributor community to facilitate its growth.

• Act as an ecosystem influencer and advocate for users’ needs.

• Build and nurture relationships while gaining a deep understanding of people's adoption journeys.

• Inspire users by showcasing the latest technological advancements and best practices.

• Identify and eliminate friction points that hinder progress.

• Create high-quality technical “how-to” content that addresses common user requirements.

• Present at meetups, webinars, conferences, and various ecosystem events.

• Provide structured feedback to Product Management to inform product development.

• Write code as needed to support how-to content or presentations.

• Build and maintain relationships with influencers and leaders in the open-source community.

• Assist our user group through regular office hours and active participation in community channels & forums.

• Monitor the growth and health of the user group, tracking metrics and conducting regular surveys.

⛳️ Requirements

• Accomplished public speaker.

• Technical writer with a proven history of editorial and educational content.

• Recognizable social media presence.

• Capable of working autonomously while being highly collaborative.

• Advocate for open source software with contributions on GitHub.

• Comfortable coding and experimenting with Docker and Kubernetes in an enterprise setting.

• Experience with Rancher, Mesos, and other technologies that our solutions integrate with.
