This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +1 more state.
• Oversee lighting design projects.
• Serve as the primary designer and engage directly with clients.
• Organize and lead the internal design team to deliver key milestones.
• Provide support to other lead designers.
• Assist additional designers as needed based on project requirements.
• Conduct equipment research and liaise with manufacturers.
• Perform equipment studies, including lighting, audio, and projection.
• Convert designer mark-ups into detailed project design documents.
• Create design documents, including plans, details, elevations, control diagrams, schedules, reports, and specification packages.
• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting agendas and notes as necessary.
• Carry out QAQC on all client deliverables.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings as required.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and education regarding emerging technologies.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.
• Experience in Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification.
• Proficiency in 3D drafting using either Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with theatrical lighting or AV design.
• Knowledge of architectural and facility requirements for integrating lighting equipment into attractions, museums, or live events.
• Comprehension of the creative process.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical drawings.
• More than 5 years of experience in lighting and show design.
• Capability to deliver projects within established scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong grasp of current technology and industry standards related to lighting design for live shows and facility infrastructure systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite.
• Excellent communication skills; self-motivated; receptive to direction.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
