This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Transform trends, fabric selections, and cultural insights into on-brand, commercially viable designs.

• Conceptualize and design collections across fleece, athleisure, and seasonal releases with a sophisticated yet wearable aesthetic.

• Manage vendor communications for all design-related aspects, ensuring clarity regarding product intent, materials, and execution.

• Collaborate extensively with product development, sourcing, and marketing teams to expedite the transition from idea to launch.

• Oversee the complete design process, from the initial concept through to final product development, including fit and garment construction.

• Develop tech packs containing detailed specifications, construction methods, and BOMs to ensure production accuracy.

• Create seasonal color palettes and apply them strategically across various categories.

• Design graphics and patterns that resonate with Comfrt’s brand identity and seasonal narratives.

• Develop and manage seasonal visual line plans to direct product flow, merchandising strategies, and assortment balance.

• Understand and operate within garment cost targets while preserving design integrity.

• Monitor and align designs with production timelines, guaranteeing timely delivery.

• Engage in fittings to ensure accurate product fit that meets Comfrt’s standards.

• Uphold Comfrt’s design DNA while exploring new boundaries and innovating for the future.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years in apparel design, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste and commercial success.

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ideally familiar with 3D design tools.

• Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, fit, and performance fabrics.

• Experienced in vendor communication and adept at navigating production realities.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative spirit, and solutions-oriented approach paired with a positive attitude.

• Deep understanding of garment costing and timelines.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, able to adapt quickly and work extended hours as needed for launches.

• A bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textile design, or a related discipline is typically required.
