This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate seamlessly within TED Brand Creative's concept-driven and strategic design framework.
• Develop impactful and thoughtful concepts, experiences, designs, and identities that vividly represent the TED brand and its diverse products and initiatives across various touchpoints.
• Deliver design work of the highest caliber and present a strong creative perspective.
• Conceptualize and execute identities and brand systems for original video series, podcasts, conferences, and initiatives.
• Expand design systems for events to encompass environmental graphics, books, stage design, digital marketing, social media, screen environments, templated signage, merchandise, and more.
• Produce original artworks for TED's editorial platforms.
• Manage print production from layout to vendor handoff, including large-format signage, conference materials, and print-ready files.
• Present designs and concepts with clarity and confidence.
• Actively seek, receive, and implement feedback to enhance your work and that of the team, while also offering constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Minimum of 3 years of graphic design experience.
• Candidates based in NYC are preferred, as TED is headquartered in New York City.
• A wide array of interests. While you are passionate about graphic design, you also bring additional skills to the table—such as illustration, motion graphics, photography, 3D modeling, and other creative pursuits.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, with a strong understanding of print design. You can prepare files and collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate outputs. If you are still developing your print skills, you should be quick to learn and adapt.
• Expertise in Figma is essential, and familiarity with digital design systems is a significant advantage.
• Experience in designing marketing materials—such as email, social media, display, and web assets—is also beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, managing projects from concept through to the delivery of mechanicals.
• Adaptability is key. TED operates in a fast-paced environment, and you should be able to transition quickly between projects, thriving on the energy of new challenges.
