This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement functional solutions that align with design specifications.
• Assist in the release of engineering documentation pertaining to product design and development, which includes Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and test reports.
• Adhere to deadlines and propel programs to meet anticipated outcomes.
• Execute designs intended for the manufacturing process and synchronize the assembly process with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Partner with team members to manage projects from design through to production initiation, encompassing prototype/pre-production builds, testing, and the establishment of specifications through launch and post-launch support.
• Create and produce Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models (CATIA / NX).
• Generate CAD and 2D drawings for components, including GD&T (release of internal component drawings, assembly drawings, and customer drawings).
• Conduct product design tasks in accordance with both internal and external specifications.
• Assist in design and verification activities, including the creation and modification of bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, calculations, and engineering change requests.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of Product Lifetime through both internal and external milestones.
• Experience in Mechanical Design and the automotive industry (product design or engineering).
• Familiarity or experience with CAN/LIN bus and circuit analysis.
• Knowledge of cluster, radio, and display systems.
• Proficiency or experience with CAD systems (NX/Teamcenter & Catia).
• Experience in Automotive Interior Product Design components/systems design/development/releasing.
• Familiarity with GD&T, Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of vehicle system architecture.
• Knowledge of CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with CATIA V5 is an advantage.
• High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
