This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Execute general design coordination along with technical and administrative support tasks.
• Assist the design team in ensuring seamless operations related to managing design deliverables, coordinating construction administration tasks, and confirming that deliverables align with client expectations.
• Complete standard assignments while collaborating with more experienced team members on more intricate tasks.
• Keep updated master lists and logs throughout the design and construction phases.
• Manage specification development within the Specification Development Platform (SpecLink).
• Oversee the content of design deliverables and supervise the production of design outputs.
• Contribute to the creation of the design work breakdown structure and schedule.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of project and quality management plans, project documentation, and health and safety plans.
• Coordinate and document fundamental QA/QC activities.
• Maintain project collaboration platforms.
• Support the Design Manager (DM) in engaging Subject Matter Experts (SME) for quality control and in the development and tracking of scope, schedule, and budget.
• Aid in coordinating subconsultants and teaming partners.
• Organize design team meetings and facilitate communications.
• Create materials for client presentations.
• Exhibit flexibility to adapt and undertake various additional tasks as necessary based on evolving requirements.
• Generally requires at least 2 years of design coordination or related professional experience.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a professional office environment is required.
• Preferred experience in project coordination and construction specification standards (EJCDC) within the A&E and construction sectors.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; proficiency in PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and ProjectWise is advantageous.
• Ability to anticipate project needs and independently identify work assignments.
• Comfortable working closely with senior managers and technical personnel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial.
• Proactive and self-driven individual.
• Capability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively is required.
• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
