This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Governance and Rituals: Establish and refine critical rituals like Design Reviews and Design Critiques, ensuring that product development adheres to high-quality standards.
• Process Standardization: Create, implement, and refine workflows that link Design with the Product and Engineering lifecycle, addressing communication and delivery challenges.
• Onboarding Excellence: Organize and oversee the onboarding process for new designers, enabling them to make quick contributions.
• Documentation and Knowledge Management: Consolidate the chapter's documentation in Confluence, ensuring that guides, playbooks, and processes remain current.
• Technical Documentation: Collaborate in drafting guidelines, component behaviors, and best practices for utilizing the Design System, ensuring that information is clear and accessible to both designers and developers.
• Success Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the design team's efficiency and operational health.
• Team Support: Serve as the primary contact for inquiries regarding tools (e.g., Figma, Jira, etc.), the application of Design System components, and internal processes.
• Experience focused on Process Definition: Proven history of defining, reviewing, and implementing scalable Design Ops workflows (e.g., enhancing the Discovery flow, integrating Design into Agile teams).
• Product and Engineering Perspective: Strong comprehension of the workings of Product Managers and Developers, able to communicate effectively in their terms to facilitate technical discussions.
• Design System Governance and Support: Practical experience in supporting design systems, emphasizing the organization of documentation, promoting best practices, and assisting the team in the correct use of components.
• Onboarding and Enablement Experience: Demonstrated experience in structuring or facilitating onboarding processes and training, showcasing the ability to impart the area’s culture, processes, and strategies to new employees.
• Technical Documentation Management: Familiarity with tools like Confluence to create centralized resources that benefit both designers and technology partners.
• Facilitation and Influence Skills: Capable of managing stakeholders, resolving conflicts, and influencing the adoption of new methodologies without direct authority.
• Scalability Mindset: Comfortable operating in rapidly growing environments where processes need to be both robust and adaptable to constant change.
