Design Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all engineering functions for several simultaneous projects to guarantee that design outputs meet all project specifications.

• Create execution plans for the design phase, track advancements, and address any discrepancies to lessen impacts.

• Ensure the smooth integration of all design elements, encompassing civil, structural, electrical, SCADA, and high voltage disciplines.

• Manage client interactions regarding all technical matters during the design phase, ensuring prompt resolution of RFIs, comments, and possible changes.

• Conduct thorough design reviews with all stakeholders, ensuring all design elements are carefully examined, deficiencies are rectified, and feedback is addressed in a timely manner.

• Monitor and promote the implementation of value engineering opportunities.

• Track internal engineering hours in relation to design progress and facilitate corrective measures as needed.

• Collaborate with AHJs to ensure complete and timely permit submissions.

• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members.

• Assist with third-party consultant contracting efforts and foster trusted partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in PV, HV, BESS, and/or SCADA design.

• A degree in engineering or a related technical field.

• Experience in project management, particularly with complex, multi-disciplinary projects; EPC experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in Procore, MS Office, MS Project, and/or P6.
