This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Oversee user and market research to identify user needs, validate opportunities, and convert insights into innovative product concepts.
• Develop a unified and scalable user experience vision and roadmap for AI Lab in close partnership with AI Lab’s product management and engineering teams.
• Manage a team of strategists and product designers throughout the stages of research, ideation, prototyping, and delivery of production-ready designs across multiple releases.
• Establish design principles and interaction patterns for emerging multimodal UX paradigms, including AI-assisted workflows.
• Collaborate with and enhance our design system — components, patterns, and guidelines specifically designed for AI/ML tools that can be scaled across AI Lab.
• Cultivate strong relationships with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to synchronize design priorities and expedite learning and change management.
• Ensure that solutions are created with a strong emphasis on quality, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Keep abreast of trends in AI, multimodal data platforms, computer vision, digital surgery, and sensor-enabled intelligence, integrating insights into product design.
• Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Design or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in product design and design management delivering platform solutions, preferably in healthcare, digital health, and/or AI-enabled product environments.
• Strong design skills and proven leadership in guiding design teams to deliver enterprise-scale digital products and platforms.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams, effectively influencing technical, clinical, business, and executive groups.
• Experience in regulated environments, with a solid understanding of quality, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey strategy into clear, actionable plans.
