Design Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the long-term design vision and user experience strategy for Artera’s software products and assets.

• Expand and manage Artera’s design system, visual standards, component libraries, and governance of Figma files.

• Promote design thinking and integrate clinical user requirements into product and communication design.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product designers.

• Simplify complex medical workflows, imaging, analytics, and AI-assisted decision-making into intuitive interactions and visuals.

• Oversee the complete design lifecycle from user flows and wireframes to prototypes and production-ready UI specifications.

• Ensure a clear information architecture and secure contextualization of critical health data.

• Supervise product launch designs, marketing assets, landing pages, product demonstrations, and sales enablement materials.

• Convert clinical value and health data into infographics, case studies, and presentation materials.

• Uphold brand consistency across product, sales, marketing, and website interactions.

• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Medical, Sales, Engineering, and other cross-functional leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in digital product design.

• A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role for design teams.

• Demonstrated success in healthcare or regulated fields such as HealthTech, SaMD, BioTech, clinical trial software, or complex enterprise B2B SaaS.

• A strong portfolio showcasing complex system design, thorough user research integration, data visualization, and effective cross-functional product launches.

• Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering results.

• Capability to hold vendors accountable and manage changing priorities.

• Experience in driving commercial success within fast-growing startups.

• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suites.
