Design Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Spearheading the creation and management of brand design systems that foster emotional connections and fulfill functional requirements throughout Asia-Taiwan.

• Converting consumer insights into unique and appealing design experiences across various consumer touchpoints, including packaging, products, digital platforms, retail, and communications.

• Collaborating with local business teams to synchronize design strategies with growth goals, new product innovation, and market commercialization.

• Establishing and supervising brand governance, standards, and toolkits, ensuring compliance among internal teams and external partners.

• Acting as the brand steward—responsible for owning and evolving the brand design system to facilitate new product innovations, portfolio expansions, and entry into new categories.

• Enhancing creative quality and design intent across all consumer touchpoints.

• Guiding and mentoring local designers; leading critiques to improve quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (to be completed and verified before starting) AND a minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in Design leadership across various touchpoints (e.g., packaging, product, digital, retail, communications) in a private, public, government, or military setting.

• A high school diploma/GED (to be completed and verified before starting) AND ten (10) years of consumer design experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

• Demonstrable success in establishing and managing visual identity systems and multi-touchpoint brand experiences.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and AI/automation tools.

• Strong financial insight and experience in budget management.

• Expertise in translating consumer research (ethnography, segmentation) into design strategy and commercialization.

• Proven ability to lead agencies and cross-functional teams; exceptional communication, storytelling, and influence skills.

• A portfolio that showcases strategic brand systems and high-quality execution across packaging, digital, and communications.
