Design Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Create visual content for NewWorld campaigns, shows, and storytelling projects across various digital platforms.

• Develop graphics for social media, platform-specific designs, title cards, quote visuals, visual explainers, video graphics, and campaign imagery.

• Investigate typography, color schemes, and layout techniques for visual identities.

• Design materials that enhance the visual language of shows and campaigns.

• Assist in establishing adaptable design systems that can scale across different platforms.

• Generate mood boards, aesthetic investigations, preliminary concepts, and prototype graphics.

• Engage in early stages of creative development and contribute to shaping the creative direction.

• Showcase work during creative review sessions.

• Quickly and thoughtfully integrate feedback into designs.

• Keep files organized and maintain tidy design systems.

• Convey design concepts effectively to designers, strategists, producers, and show teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a design, art, or creative program.

• A portfolio that showcases strong fundamentals in typography, layout, and visual composition.

• Experience in designing for digital platforms or social media.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar software.

• Familiarity with Figma or other digital design tools.

• Passion for storytelling, media, and visual culture.

• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and collaborate effectively with others.

• Strong attention to detail and a dedication to enhancing skills.

• Curiosity about the impact of design on culture, storytelling, and audience interaction.

• Comfort with emerging creative technologies, including AI-assisted tools for image creation, concept development, visual prototyping, and video production.

• Regular availability during East Coast business hours (9am-6pm EST).

• Submission of a resume, portfolio, and cover letter is required.
