Design Engineer I – Electrical, PV & BESS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the provision of electrical engineering design services for renewable energy and substation initiatives.

• Conduct routine electrical design activities under close supervision, utilizing established engineering techniques, methods, and criteria.

• Develop electrical engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects.

• Execute design tasks on small-scale projects or segments of larger initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, practices, and regulations.

• Operate under the guidance of senior personnel and receive oversight on all facets of assignments.

• Meet project deliverables and deadlines while performing additional tasks as assigned or directed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, another engineering discipline with substantial electrical coursework, or a related field.

• Some previous experience (including academic and internship experience) in design and drafting using AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of reading and applying sections of the NEC and understanding relevant codes and standards.

• Ability to identify and address complex issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.

• Capacity to be both innovative and analytical.

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

• Effective time management skills – able to manage multiple projects concurrently and with limited supervision, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning efficiently to meet all deadlines.

• EIT Certificate is preferred.

• Prior experience in renewable energy projects is advantageous.
