Design Engineer – Grid Modernization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective project execution.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients to define project scope and collect detailed requirements.

• Develop capital construction plans that support initiatives for grid modernization.

• Design and implement technical solutions to resolve challenges in client distribution systems.

• Conduct distribution-level planning studies to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Generate high-quality deliverables, including: system study reports, consultative reports, capital construction planning documents, cost-benefit analyses, and construction specifications.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored solutions addressing distribution grid challenges and promoting modernization objectives.

• Provide comprehensive oversight of QA/QC processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of team deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

• At least 2 years of engineering experience with EIT certification, or a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience without EIT certification is required.

• Proficiency in Distribution Modeling Software (i.e., Cyme, Synergi, Windmil) is necessary.

• Prior experience working for a vertically integrated utility is preferred.

• Must possess the authorization to work permanently in the US.

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

• Familiarity with GIS applications is preferred.
