Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality UI components and interactions using React Native, accurately translating designs into effective, high-performance code.

• Collaborate with product designers to quickly prototype concepts, assess interactions, and iterate prior to the complete engineering handoff.

• Manage and uphold the design system/component library, ensuring uniformity and reusability throughout the application.

• Act as a liaison between design and engineering — identify feasibility challenges early, suggest technical solutions for design issues, and vice versa.

• Enhance UI performance, animations, and micro-interactions across web, mobile, and browser extensions.

• Work with engineering on architectural decisions that impact UI adaptability, theming, and component scalability.

• Contribute to defining and refining the design-to-development workflows/tooling (Figma → code handoff, design tokens, etc.).

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in frontend/UI engineering, with substantial hands-on React Native expertise.

• Strong appreciation for design elements — typography, spacing, motion, and interaction intricacies.

• Proficient in working directly within Figma (or similar tools) to prototype and refine UI.

• Experience in creating and sustaining component/design systems.

• Proven history of delivering polished, consumer-oriented mobile products.

• Excellent communication abilities — capable of working seamlessly across design and engineering teams and bridging the gap between the two.

• A genuine interest in Web3/crypto products is a plus.
