Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the complete product design encompassing UI, interactions, and visual systems.

• Directly implement designs in code using React/Next.js, Tailwind, and Framer Motion.

• Sustain and enhance our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and comprehensive documentation.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, acting as a bridge between the two.

• Create micro-interactions and animations that enhance the product's user experience.

• Integrate user feedback into the design process to inform decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential skills: Proficiency in React/Next.js and Tailwind CSS, enabling you to build your designs.

• Familiarity with Figma for creating concepts, workflows, and prototypes.

• Experience with design systems, including building, documenting, and maintaining consistency.

• Knowledge of animations and micro-interactions, preferably using Framer Motion or similar tools.

• A robust portfolio showcasing both your design thinking and coding abilities.

• Preferred: Experience with data-rich interfaces such as dashboards, tables, and filter logic.

• Understanding of typography, spacing, and color systems, with the ability to articulate design choices.

• Skills in motion design or Lottie animations.

• Previous experience working within a product team, as opposed to an agency environment.
