This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Polishing the Diamond: You’ll take charge of quality by identifying and resolving those "small" UX imperfections that distinguish a tool from a craft.
• Building Complex UI Components: Your role will involve more than just repositioning buttons. You will engage with intriguing technical challenges, such as creating a custom Taxonomic filter, a sophisticated Date-Time picker, and enhancing our new component library.
• Create a Design System: With a dislike for technical debt, you'll have the opportunity to develop components that other developers can utilize without the need for extensive manuals.
• Shipping with AI: You will leverage AI tools to enhance your workflow, enabling you to access the backend when necessary or automate routine tasks so you can concentrate on more ambitious projects.
• Iterating Quickly: You'll work within a rapid feedback loop, prioritizing user experience above all else.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of React (experience with Next.js or Remix is a plus).
• You are a Tailwind CSS expert and are well-versed in browser support nuances.
• You have a portfolio, Twitter, or Dribbble that showcases your ability to create stunning designs, and you can clearly explain why one design choice is superior to another.
• You have an inherent focus on user experience, valuing how programming leads to exceptional, lovable products.
• You have a proven history of shipping quickly without causing disruptions.
• Although this role is primarily frontend-focused, you are not hesitant to venture into the backend. With tools like Claude/Codex, you are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone to accomplish tasks.
• This position is centered around delighting users. You should be able to justify the current state of a feature or suggest changes to alleviate frustration.
• Transparency: Everyone has access to our roadmap, compensation practices, our strategy, and how we operate via our public company handbook.
• Autonomy: We empower everyone to choose their next tasks based on what will most significantly impact our customers, as well as what they find engaging and motivating. Engineers lead product teams and influence product decisions, with teams being flexible and easily adaptable as needed.
• Shipping Fast: Why wait? We aim to develop numerous products; achieving that requires more than a standard pace. Our company is structured around small, autonomous, and highly efficient teams of skilled engineers who can outpace much larger companies by owning their products from start to finish.
• Time for Building: Meetings don’t lead to shipping. As a natively remote company, we prioritize asynchronous communication – PRs > Issues > Slack. Tuesdays and Thursdays are designated as meeting-free days, allowing us to focus on building rather than perfect coordination. This will be the most productive position you've ever held.
• Ambition: We aspire to tackle significant challenges. We firmly believe that striving for the best possible outcome, even if we sometimes fall short, is preferable to never attempting at all. We maintain optimism about what’s achievable and our ability to reach those goals.
• Being Weird: Embracing weirdness means reimagining an already exceptional website for the fifth time, shipping every product related to customer data, and creating an objectively unnecessary developer toy with questionable shareholder value. Engaging in unconventional endeavors is a competitive advantage and enjoyable.
