This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Create 3D models based on concepts developed by the R&D team.
• Ensure that designs are compatible with standard manufacturing processes.
• Confirm that drawings comply with company and industry standards and processes.
• Oversee and maintain the quality standards of all work produced in the department.
• Assist in compiling job packets, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
• Participate in design meetings as needed.
• Manage compliance with company procedures, particularly focusing on health and safety policies.
• Maintain company procedures and relevant documentation.
• Effectively update and manage any necessary departmental records (if required).
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or equivalent certification/experience.
• Proven record of relevant personal and professional development.
• Prior experience in a design role for an OEM or equipment packager is preferred.
• Previous involvement in the UK municipal water sector is advantageous.
• Essential experience in producing and interpreting technical drawings.
• Required experience in creating general arrangement drawings and manufacturing drawings, including BOMs.
• Self-motivated individual capable of maintaining focus on outcomes and what needs to be done to achieve them without close supervision.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across various teams and departments.
• Proficient in 3D CAD systems, with a strong preference for knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Previous experience with FEA analysis and CFD analysis to validate designs.
