This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Contributes to intricate engagements and collaborates directly with clients and the Design Engineering team to create specifications, designs, budgets, timelines, and manage expectations.
• Conceptualizes system designs and identifies system requirements.
• Possesses a robust background in Project Engineering (technical project management skills) with the capability to oversee various projects across multiple regions.
• Supports and leads projects in drafting/modeling security floor layouts for access control, video, intrusion, vehicle gate systems, system wiring diagrams, schematics, and backboard layouts.
• Develops the Bill of Materials (BOM) and provides supporting documentation for customer RFPs.
• Creates detailed 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% IFC, and/or Shop Drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Researches, identifies, and recommends technology options for clients.
• Conducts quality control by reviewing drawings and assessing the necessity for design changes; makes suitable recommendations.
• Ensures that the production of drawings aligns with scope, schedule, and quality standards.
• The Design Engineer may interact with clients and contribute to the Profit and Loss performance.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of both Internal and External project lifecycles.
• Maintains industry expertise through continual review of trade publications and participation in seminars.
• Proven experience in leading engineering initiatives within Electronic Security Systems domains such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong comprehension of system integration, project engineering processes, and field-to-office feedback mechanisms.
• Proficient in process improvement methodologies, technical governance, and cross-functional coordination.
• An effective communicator capable of engaging internal teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Possesses an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and drive strategic enhancements.
• Demonstrated capability to coach, mentor, and lead engineering teams within a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and coordinating enterprise-level technology training.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on operational efficiency and documentation quality.
• Holds an Associate's Degree or has equivalent experience.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to Design Engineers and Associate Design Engineers.
• Maintains industry expertise through ongoing review of trade publications, participation in industry trade shows, seminars, trainings, and educational forums.
