Design Engineer 2 – Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design of electronic security systems, which encompass access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection solutions.

• Create system concepts, specifications, and requirements that align with client needs and project scopes.

• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost estimates, and supporting documentation for proposals and projects.

• Develop and maintain design deliverables, including 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC drawings.

• Offer technical coordination to facilitate system architecture, installation, and integration efforts.

• Investigate, assess, and recommend security technologies and product solutions.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance design, engineering, and project delivery.

• Assist in client engagement activities, which include clarifying requirements and managing expectations.

• Keep project documentation updated and ensure compliance with design standards and requirements.

• Mentor junior team members and assist in resolving issues across projects.

• Stay informed about ESS technologies, industry trends, and best practices through continuous training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• An associate's degree is required, along with equivalent experience.

• Certifications or training with Milestone and Lenel are preferred.

• More than 5 years of experience in technical systems design is necessary.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office 365 is essential.

• Must be able to obtain a government-issued Top Secret Clearance (for US-based candidates only).

• A clear understanding of project phases including program and conceptual design is required.

• A strong grasp of construction processes, installation practices, and system integration is necessary.
