Design and Engineering Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Document and analyze existing Design and Engineering business processes, identifying gaps and enhancing workflows for improved efficiency.

• Incorporate data collection into processes while generating reports, dashboards, and tools to support decision-making.

• Create process maps and formalize new or enhanced processes through Standard Operating Procedures.

• Design solutions to monitor, evaluate, and record changes in processes.

• Oversee and manage Design & Engineering data structures, databases, and reporting platforms.

• Facilitate data integration and flow among Smartsheet, Tableau, Palantir, Excel, and other enterprise systems.

• Collaborate with teams including Procurement, Facilities Operations, Project Managers, and Utility Power within QTS.

• Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and translate this information into process enhancements.

• Acquire knowledge of new software systems and develop tools to assist the Design and Engineering team.

• Generate and process DocuSign documents through appropriate workflows.

• Act as a power user and administrator for Design & Engineering business applications.

• Develop and sustain executive dashboards, KPIs, reports, and visualizations that reflect performance, schedules, resources, budgets, and project execution.

• Collaborate with Engineering leadership to implement and continuously enhance systems initiatives, tools, dashboards, databases, and workflows.

• Experience in developing and maintaining Smartsheet solutions, workflows, and automated processes.

• Familiarity with creating dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI platforms is preferred but not required.

• Experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise data management and analytics platforms is preferred but not required.

• Proven ability to integrate and transform data from various business systems.

• A minimum of three years of experience in creating, documenting, and optimizing processes.

• At least three years of professional experience in collecting, organizing, and presenting data.

• Proficiency in engaging stakeholders, documenting business requirements, and converting operational needs into scalable processes, systems, dashboards, and reporting solutions.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with all organizational levels.

• Demonstrated ability to be a team player, thriving in both internal and external team settings.

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Ability to address problems at both tactical and functional levels.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
