This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Integration Engineering with SEFAZ: Develop, maintain, and scale integrations with SEFAZ web services (authorization, cancellation, correction letters, invalidation) ensuring resilience and stability.

• Fiscal Product Life Cycle: Design robust logic for complex operations such as shipments, returns, triangulations, and contingency emissions.

• Optimization and High Volume: Engage extensively with the database (SQL Server). You will need to analyze execution plans, refactor heavy queries, and ensure that billing tables with millions of rows respond in milliseconds.

• Tax Strategy and Tax Reform: Code the complex tax engine (CST/CSOSN, CFOP, NCM, ICMS distribution) and play a key role in restructuring the platform to address the impacts of the Tax Reform on goods circulation (IBS/CBS).

• Asynchronous Processing: Manage messaging and batch processing to ensure that bottlenecks or outages in government servers do not impede our clients' billing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seniority in PHP: A minimum of 5 years of proven and exclusive experience in PHP programming, focused on high availability systems and clean code.

• Fiscal Expertise (NF-e/Sefaz): Complete mastery of the structure of fiscal product documents (NF-e, NFC-e, MDF-e), XML signing (certificates A1/A3), and SOAP/REST messaging with SEFAZ.

• Mastery of SQL Server: Advanced knowledge in database optimization. Ability to resolve lock and deadlock issues and create efficient indexes to support large-scale billing operations.

• Business Acumen: Clear understanding of product taxation rules (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS) and a strategic vision of how the Tax Reform will alter the software's business rules.

• Cloud Architecture: Practical knowledge and experience with Cloud architectures aimed at scalability for peak access (e.g., Black Friday).

• Development with AI: Hands-on experience using Artificial Intelligence tools (Gemini CLI, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and support code reviews.

• Best Practices: Proficiency in using Git/GitHub, code versioning, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Solid experience in developing ERPs, POS systems, or commercial automation.

• Prior experience with resilience-focused architectures (circuit breakers, queues) to manage the instability of government services.

• Knowledge in monitoring, creating structured logs, and observability.
