This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Navigate and address challenges within accounts by providing customized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that align with collective priorities to enhance product demand and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory colleagues, field teams, and home-office staff to meet customer needs and offer access support.
• Examine market conditions, competitive landscapes, and cross-functional dynamics to identify opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Leverage territory data and market trends to extract local insights and lead customer interactions, either virtually or in person.
• Organize planning sessions with stakeholders to address complex challenges across various functions.
• Provide immediate access support and work in tandem with Patient Specialty Services.
• Utilize digital tools and omnichannel strategies to tailor outreach in both virtual and in-person settings.
• Serve as the primary contact for accounts and healthcare providers.
• Cultivate account relationships, recognize shared priorities, and connect customers with Novartis resources.
• A bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited four-year institution.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically diverse sales teams, or comparable complex sales environments within the last 5 years.
• Demonstrated history of consistent high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Strong analytical skills to prioritize and utilize information for solving customer issues.
• Ethical leadership capabilities, promoting ethical behavior and adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Must reside within the territory or be within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geographic area.
• Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• For the Territory Account Specialist level: a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years.
• For the Senior Territory Account Specialist level: a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years.
• For the Executive Territory Account Specialist level: a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years.
• Associate level candidates may have limited prior sales experience or qualifying military leadership experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions in a matrix environment.
• Strong communication skills for effectively conveying clinical product information.
• Preferred: experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches.
• Preferred: knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and medical interactions with healthcare professionals.
