Derivatives Attorney – ISDA Negotiator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, assess, and negotiate documentation related to derivatives and trading, such as ISDAs, CSAs, MRAs, GMRAs, and MSFTAs.

• Oversee negotiations with counterparties and manage documentation workflows.

• Provide support for documentation related to futures, equity derivatives, prime brokerage, equity financing, repo, securities lending, and associated trading products.

• Offer advice or assistance regarding collateral, clearing, netting, and counterparty risk issues.

• Aid in treasury clearing and fulfill associated documentation requirements.

• Collaborate with legal, business, operations, risk, and compliance teams to effectively address negotiation and documentation challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive practical experience in negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Annexes.

• Familiarity with repurchase agreements, including MRAs and GMRAs; MSFTA experience may be considered for specific roles.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in futures or futures agreements.

• Prior experience in treasury clearing is highly desirable.

• Background in equity derivatives is preferred; experience in prime brokerage or equity financing will also be taken into account.

• Expertise in netting is a significant advantage.

• Excellent negotiation, organizational, communication, and project management abilities.

• Capacity to accommodate full-time or part-time client requirements; full-time availability is strongly preferred for ISDA negotiator positions.

• A JD and active bar license are necessary for attorney roles; a JD is not mandatory for ISDA negotiator positions.

• Employment may be subject to the successful completion of a background check.
