This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assist the Program Manager in overseeing the comprehensive delivery of a complex spacecraft mission.
• Coordinate diverse engineering teams (systems, electrical, mechanical, RF, AIT, software, payload) to ensure programme consistency.
• Manage programme timelines, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths, ensuring all work packages progress on schedule.
• Supervise risk management by identifying potential issues early and implementing mitigation strategies with engineering leads.
• Aid in budget monitoring, resource allocation, and reporting activities throughout the programme.
• Facilitate technical evaluations (SRR, PDR, CDR), ensuring teams are well-prepared and documentation is thorough.
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and necessary actions.
• Ensure programme activities adhere to high-reliability space standards, quality specifications, and mission constraints.
• Support configuration management by ensuring all changes are properly evaluated, approved, and documented.
• Collaborate closely with AIT and operations teams to guarantee seamless transitions into integration, testing, and mission readiness phases.
• Promote continuous improvement in programme processes, communication channels, and delivery effectiveness.
• Required experience in the space industry — direct participation in spacecraft programmes, satellite development, or mission-critical space projects.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating engineering activities within intricate technical programmes.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft development cycles (design, integration, testing, verification).
• Proficient in schedule management, milestone tracking, and cross-team coordination.
• Experience in risk management, issue tracking, and mitigation strategy development.
• Ability to analyze technical documentation and communicate effectively with engineering leads.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple parallel workstreams.
• Experience in supporting programme reviews and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
