Deputy General Counsel, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide counsel to Product and Engineering teams regarding the legal ramifications of product features

• Offer legal advice on matters related to data privacy, HIPAA, corporate medical practices, and consumer protection

• Collaborate with Security and Compliance to advance responsible AI governance initiatives

• Counsel on intellectual property strategies, encompassing patent and trade secret issues

• Keep abreast of relevant industry trends, new case law, and enforcement actions

• Deliver practical legal insights on emerging products, regulatory enforcement, privacy, commercial, contractual, consumer protection, and healthcare-related legal risks

• Work collaboratively across product, commercial, compliance, security, and operational teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of legal experience in healthcare, digital health, or health technology

• Strong understanding of AI concepts

• Proven experience in advising product development, regulatory submissions, technology-related legal issues, and consumer-facing product disclosures

• Knowledge of AI and machine learning governance frameworks

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school and an active license in good standing with a state bar

• Extensive experience in addressing legal matters related to digital health products
