This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee critical elements of project development, execution, and integration under the guidance of the Chief of Party.
• Act as a secondary point of contact for donors and engage with public, private, and non-governmental stakeholders.
• Manage project operations to ensure timely delivery of quality results, achievement of milestones, and adherence to budgetary goals.
• Coordinate with program and operations leaders while maintaining CRS program quality standards.
• Lead and supervise technical implementation across involved countries.
• Provide technical direction and quality assurance to consortium partners and country teams.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop project personnel.
• Contribute to senior staffing strategies and recruitment processes.
• Monitor and address national and regional risks that may impact staff and programming.
• Uphold safety, security, safeguarding, accountability, compliance, and donor reporting standards.
• Oversee partner budgets, sub-awardee and vendor activities, as well as technical deliverables.
• Maintain relationships with consortium partners and coordinate activities among partner organizations.
• Encourage learning across countries, knowledge management, and the application of lessons learned.
• Create a secure learning environment and address performance issues effectively.
• Identify gaps in staff performance, training needs, and requirements for technical assistance.
• Bachelor’s degree in international development, International Relations, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant management and technical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years managing donor funds, including multi-country grants.
• Established technical expertise and qualifications evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or similar credentials.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring project staff.
• Proven track record in managing complex, high-value, multi-activity projects and logistics successfully.
• Ability to manage staff in a manner that fosters a learning environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience in budget management.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), web conferencing tools, and information and budget management systems.
• Excellent strategic, analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong skills in relationship management.
• Capability to lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
• Legal eligibility to work in the location where the position is based.
• Pre-employment medical clearance is required for positions necessitating residence or frequent travel outside the home country.
