This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take full ownership of a program from start to finish: determine what success looks like, identify the key problems to address, prioritize their resolution, and define the objectives for each milestone.
β’ Collaborate closely with government and industry clients to grasp their missions, constraints, and political landscapes, fostering relationships from end users to program executives that ensure sustainable deployments.
β’ Establish direction and priorities for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team, directly connecting engineers with users while safeguarding their time from non-essential tasks.
β’ Take charge of the growth strategy: ensuring that option years, follow-ons, and expansions are informed by achieved outcomes, which you are accountable for developing within the relationship.
β’ Relay insights gained in the field back to product and engineering teams, enhancing the platform for every customer rather than just the one in front of you.
β’ Engage day-to-day at or travel to customer locations, testing events, hackathons, and program milestones as required. Travel is primarily domestic, although some customer interactions may necessitate international travel.
β’ Proven experience in owning outcomes without formal authority over team members, finding this energizing rather than intimidating.
β’ Deep familiarity with the relevant customer domain, gained from firsthand experience, along with a clear understanding of existing inefficiencies in the current system.
β’ Domain expertise in allied military aircraft development, including experience with multinational teams, disconnected Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) toolchains, and navigating engineering data through companies, suppliers, and export regulations prior to design closure.
β’ Technical proficiency across modeling and simulation, MBSE, digital threads, software development, and/or agentic design: sufficient to critically assess engineering claims and be credible in discussions, without necessarily needing to build the systems yourself.
β’ Strong product acumen, as this role aligns more closely with product management than project management: understanding what to develop next and what to avoid, differentiating between a user-specific request and a platform-wide capability.
β’ Versatility to brief a program executive in the morning and collaborate with an engineer in the afternoon.
β’ An ability to read organizational dynamics and room atmospheres, as successful adoption hinges on navigating the customerβs organizational structure as much as on the software itself.
β’ Comfort in dealing with incomplete information and evolving requirements, coupled with the initiative to outline next steps independently.

β’ Equity
β’ Comprehensive benefits package
