This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within the TRUConnect technology ecosystem, which encompasses embedded hardware and software, RF and IP communication networks, databases, Linux back-end, web front-end, and service interfaces.
• Perform upgrades and apply patches to TRUConnect software on client systems.
• Set up and manage billing exports.
• Utilize RF propagation software to create RF Network designs.
• Employ GIS software to generate maps and other materials.
• Assist the pre-sales team with RFPs by providing generated network designs and maps.
• Offer periodic support to oversee or monitor the deployment of new products in the field.
• Review and prioritize outstanding cases, escalating them as necessary.
• Collaborate in the development, establishment, and enhancement of processes and procedures related to the technical knowledge base, online community, and other documentation.
• Occasionally carry out miscellaneous scripting tasks.
• Travel to client locations as required for support tasks and/or personal training.
• Participate in an after-hours support call program for approximately 2 weeks each quarter.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A diploma in information technology or a higher qualification.
• Over 4 years of experience in a customer service or technical support capacity.
• Proficient with Unix/Linux command line and Bash shell scripting.
• Familiarity with GIS mapping software.
• Experience with EDX Signal Pro or similar RF propagation software.
• Solid understanding of IP networking, covering TCP/IP, FTP, SSH, and firewalls.
• Experience with virtual machines/environments, including VMWare ESXi or HyperV.
• Knowledge of cloud hosting platforms, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, or equivalents.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and updating internal automation tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with support ticket/issue reporting systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com will be considered an asset.
• Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, debug, investigate, and present findings.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently while demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and sound judgment.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Outstanding collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to acquire new skills in a dynamic and challenging setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must reside in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.
• Ability to engage in an after-hours support call program for approximately 2 weeks each quarter.
