Deployment Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Overseeing customer projects to ensure the achievement of both customer and Ciena's cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

• Comprehensive management of medium to large-scale projects with medium to high complexity within a customer network.

• Leading the complete deployment cycle of intricate projects, guaranteeing the delivery of resilient infrastructures on time, within budget, and adhering to the highest quality standards.

• Providing overall guidance and oversight, often involving a project team, to execute medium to complex projects and programs within a Customer Network.

• Ensuring that any deviations from the project schedule are investigated and appropriately addressed.

• Maintaining proper communication with customers regarding field project activities.

• Collaborating closely with Engineering on project implementation within the E, F & I Services Organization.

• Recording and communicating project status, challenges, and solutions to management.

• Serving as the primary contact for all project-related matters.

• Demonstrated success in managing telecommunications deployment projects (fiber networks, DWDM).

• Customer-focused approach that addresses the underlying needs of clients.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, able to identify multiple relationships and delve beyond the presented information to uncover the "root of the problem".

• Sound judgment for making moderately complex decisions while considering pros and cons.

• Decisiveness in delivering decisions amidst competing alternatives.

• Awareness of organizational structure and climate, both formal and informal.

• Excellent planning, scheduling, and coordination capabilities.

• Preferred skills in communication, organization, and leadership.

• Ability to manage resources and a solid understanding of outsourcing methodologies.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work towards high-level departmental goals.

• Team-oriented individual who thrives in a cross-functional team environment.

• Proficient in common software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical, Civil), Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.

• PMP Certification is highly desirable.

• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking for business contexts) is preferred and will be regarded as a significant advantage.
