Dental Transition Sales Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Represent, assist, and provide guidance to dentists during practice sales and transitions.

• Offer brokerage, dental practice transition, and valuation services.

• Steer clients through business evaluation, transition preparation, practice listing and showcasing, offer and transaction-term negotiations, financing, closing, and post-transaction handoff.

• Build networks and foster relationships with practitioners, industry professionals, and key stakeholders.

• Clearly communicate HSDPT and personal value propositions.

• Market valuation services and secure practice listings.

• Ensure successful transition outcomes for all parties involved in transactions.

• Advise practitioners who are planning the future sale of their practices.

• Provide a tailored client experience throughout the evaluation and transition process.

• Manage stress and uncertainties from initial discussions to post-closing interactions.

• Meet annual goals for valuation, brokerage, and other HSDPT services.

• Implement HSDPT policies and practices while adhering to transition service terms.

• Collect, securely store, and transfer necessary documents and client signatures.

• Foster and maintain relationships with Henry Schein Dental TSMs.

• Organize and participate in both in-person and virtual meetings and closings.

• Keep timely communication with clients and transaction parties to facilitate progress toward closing and financing.

• Present at dental study clubs, society meetings, HSD sales meetings, and other dental-related gatherings.

• Train Henry Schein TSMs on HSDPT services and products.

• Utilize the HSDPT database, CRM system, and related tools effectively.

• Attend internal training sessions and scheduled meetings.

• Engage in special projects and carry out other responsibilities as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• The territory encompasses Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

• An active real estate license is highly preferred but not mandatory; it is expected that it will be obtained within 12 months of the start date.

• A condition of employment is to maintain state-specific real estate licenses in good standing as required by law.

• Preferably possesses sales knowledge, dental industry and transition knowledge, practice financing experience, or real estate sales experience.

• Capability to communicate and present via telephone, written correspondence, email, and in person in a polished and professional manner.

• Experience in speaking and presenting to individuals, small groups, and larger audiences.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

• Self-motivated with a service-oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate within teams.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Proficient in decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving with the ability to multitask effectively.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.

• Ability to manage stress and navigate complex situations.

• Advanced negotiation skills with the capability to overcome obstacles.

• Conflict resolution skills and the ability to convey difficult messages.

• Prior sales and/or dental experience is preferred.

• Typically holds a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a relevant field.

• Travel is generally less than 40-50%, including after-hours and evenings.

• No specific physical demands required.
