Demand Writer Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews of medical records, bills, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy is demand-ready.

• Confirm billing and treatment timelines (including dates, providers, and any gaps) and identify documentation issues prior to package assembly.

• Construct and organize comprehensive demand packages with appropriately labeled supporting exhibits.

• Detect any missing records, bills, liens, or essential documents and effectively communicate what is required to finalize the file.

• Efficiently navigate through disorganized or incomplete case files to swiftly and confidently locate relevant documents.

• Uphold consistent standards for exhibit preparation and documentation suitable for attorney review.

• Assist in demand submission workflows utilizing demand preparation software (such as EvenUp or similar platforms).

• Handle multiple active demands simultaneously while fulfilling volume and deadline requirements.

• Monitor and update demand tasks and statuses in the case management system to ensure smooth workflow progression.

• Play a role in process enhancements that minimize rework and elevate quality at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on plaintiff personal injury experience (not just academic).

• Direct experience in drafting PI demand letters/packages (beyond merely assisting an attorney).

• Strong skills in independently reviewing medical records and bills (capable of identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and missing items).

• Experience in preparing demand packages from record intake through to final assembly.

• Familiarity with case management systems (Filevine is strongly preferred).

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment with large backlogs and changing priorities.

• Excellent written English skills for attorney-facing tasks.

• Experience with EvenUp or similar demand platforms.

• Knowledge of California PI workflows and demand standards.

• Proven track record of maintaining quality while drafting 15–30+ demands each month.

• Confidence in working independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience in creating repeatable checklists/templates to enhance speed and consistency.
