Delphi Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead, guide, and nurture a team of software engineers.

• Actively develop, maintain, and enhance applications and services based on Delphi.

• Engage in architectural discussions, technical design reviews, and solution planning.

• Propel roadmap execution in collaboration with Product Management and Development Management.

• Ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, performance enhancement, and secure coding practices.

• Assist in the modernization of legacy applications and integrations while ensuring business continuity.

• Work alongside customer-facing teams to address complex customer issues and enhance product reliability.

• Advocate for responsible utilization of AI-assisted development tools and validate AI-generated code and documentation.

• Take part in recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and career advancement activities.

• Enhance engineering practices, development processes, and technical standards.

• Provide support for APRO, PairSoft’s financial automation platform for Oracle on-premises clients, including banking integrations, payment processing, invoice automation, reconciliation, and financial workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development.

• More than 5 years of hands-on experience in Delphi development, specifically version 12.

• At least 2 years of experience in technical leadership, mentoring, or team leadership roles.

• Strong expertise in PL/SQL and relational database design.

• In-depth understanding of enterprise application architecture and software design principles.

• Experience in supporting and enhancing large-scale, business-critical applications.

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Preferred experience with Oracle Financials Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite.

• Preferred background in financial automation, banking, payments, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or ERP systems.

• Preferred programming experience with SQL and Oracle Database 12C or later.

• Experience in integrating Delphi applications with modern APIs and services is preferred.

• Preferred experience in leading application modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude is preferred.

• Experience working with globally distributed teams is preferred.

• Ability to work from 9 AM–6 PM CET / 12:30 PM–9:30 PM IST, accommodating daylight saving changes.

• Capability to work from home and/or in an office setting; office work may require prolonged sitting and lifting weights up to 30 pounds or 15 kg.
