Delphi Developer – Mid/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in the upkeep, enhancement, and modernization of current features.

• Evaluate legacy Delphi code and the business rules established within the database.

• Aid in the decoupling of routines from the monolithic structure.

• Suggest technical enhancements while ensuring product stability is maintained.

• Execute bug fixes, enhancements, and the development of new features.

• Contribute to the technical documentation of business rules.

• Take part in technical and functional refinement discussions.

• Assist in the investigation of incidents, performance challenges, and business discrepancies.

• Collaborate effectively with QA, Product, Architecture, and fellow developers.

• Utilize AI tools judiciously to boost productivity, analysis, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Delphi development.

• Proven experience in maintaining, evolving, and refactoring legacy systems.

• Familiarity with relational databases, ideally SQL Server.

• Competence in analyzing stored procedures, queries, data modeling, and business rules within the database.

• Proficient in using Git.

• Experience with Jira or a similar issue-tracking tool.

• Capability to work with highly intricate legacy code.

• Strong analytical abilities to comprehend tax, accounting, labor, or other business regulations.

• Experience in debugging, enhancing performance, and executing functional improvements.

• Effective communication skills with product, QA, support, and architecture teams.

• Proficiency in documenting technical decisions and identified rules.

• Preferred: Knowledge or experience with .NET Core / C#.

• Preferred: Experience in modernization, migration, or decoupling of monolithic projects.

• Preferred: Familiarity with REST APIs.

• Preferred: Understanding of software architecture, separation of concerns, and layering.

• Preferred: Experience with AI tools in development.

• Preferred: Knowledge of ERP systems, payroll, tax, accounting, or related obligations.

• Preferred: Understanding of CI/CD.

• Preferred: Experience with static code analysis, dependency mapping, or assisted refactoring.
