Delivery Manager

📋 Description

• The Delivery Manager acts as a developing subject matter expert while also functioning as an individual contributor who demonstrates a high degree of trust, autonomy, and empowerment.

• With minimal oversight from leadership, you will take charge of leading and monitoring the ability to meet scope, schedule, and delivery requirements, and may also provide support for adjacent programs within the business unit.

• A Delivery Manager showcases strong influencing skills to represent the product management practice during planning sessions, advocating for optimal solutions while effectively communicating trade-offs.

• You will assume the role of the primary lead, proactively engaging with stakeholders, and employing strong influencing skills to drive enhancements in product management processes and practices.

• Possess strong influencing skills to achieve consensus among stakeholders, leadership, programs, and practice teams.

• Primarily supports a program or portfolio, but may also assist with business unit initiatives to promote thought leadership within the practice and delivery.

• Acts as a mentor to individuals in the assigned business unit or program, offering constructive feedback to foster employee development and practice innovations.

• Delivers presentations to a diverse range of audiences, including both internal and external stakeholders.

• Primarily focused on strategic initiatives for the program or portfolio, but may also handle tactical assignments.

• Demonstrates strong communication skills to build consensus, resolve conflicts, and act as a steward of innovation or change.

• Responsible for defining the vision and strategy for products and identifying growth opportunities for a program or portfolio of work.

• Shows the ability to make informed decisions, recognizing when to pivot and how to experiment to decrease uncertainty and guide subsequent steps.

• Utilizes effective communication skills and understands how to demystify complex issues for a wide range of audiences to influence decision-making for optimal outcomes.

• May assist with growth opportunities, including proposal writing, solution development, presentations, and briefings.

• Collaborates with Project and Program Managers to facilitate the delivery of required scope and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

• Relevant years of experience may substitute for formal education.

• 3+ years of experience in directing assignments for cross-functional teams.

• Experience in managing releases and dependencies.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies at scale.
