Delivery Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery of cybersecurity and compliance projects.

• Ensure that all projects meet the specified scope, timeline, and quality benchmarks.

• Collaborate with consultants conducting assessments, advisory services, or technical evaluations.

• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and resource assignments.

• Proactively identify and address delivery risks.

• Act as the main operational point of contact for clients throughout the engagements.

• Maintain consistent status updates and communication with stakeholders.

• Lead client workshops, interviews, and progress reviews.

• Ensure that client expectations align with Velero’s delivery strategy.

• Supervise the implementation of security assessments, gap analyses, and compliance validations.

• Guarantee a uniform methodology across frameworks including: NIST 800-53 / NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and FedRAMP / public sector standards.

• Assess the quality of findings, recommendations, and audit-ready documentation.

• Manage and coordinate a geographically diverse team of consultants and subject matter experts.

• Delegate workstreams and track progress across various engagements.

• Ensure adherence to documentation and deliverable standards.

• Provide support and guidance for complex technical or compliance challenges.

• Standardize delivery processes, templates, and reporting structures.

• Enhance operational efficiency for project tracking and client communication.

• Establish delivery metrics and quality assurance checkpoints.

• Assist in scaling the consulting practice as Velero expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, compliance, or risk management.

• Proven experience in leading project delivery or coordinating consulting teams.

• In-depth knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as: NIST (800-53, CSF), SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and FedRAMP / public sector security standards.

• Experience managing client-focused cybersecurity assessments or advisory projects.

• Excellent project management and stakeholder communication abilities.
