Delivery Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define the architectural vision and roadmap for your Centers of Excellence (COEs, our term for managed customer engagements): outlining the direction of each solution and the rationale behind it.

• Ensure architectural consistency throughout the engagement lifecycle, maintaining direction and context during every transition and phase.

• Serve as the go-to reference for your team and customers regarding architecture and solution guidance.

• Identify the specialized experts required for an engagement (such as ESM, asset management, or migration specialists) and either involve them or provide that expertise yourself where applicable.

• Facilitate the transition from sales to delivery, clarifying solution intent, the necessary skills for the engagement, and kickoff guidance.

• Collaborate with the Technical Program Manager, who oversees planning and governance: managing milestones, cross-workstream dependencies, service-level commitments, and escalations.

• Act as the architectural conscience during the build phase, reviewing critical technical decisions and ensuring that delivery adheres to the roadmap and design.

• Monitor the architectural integrity of your accounts and intervene promptly when the solution deviates from the established direction.

• Work closely with the Technical Lead, who manages the build, removing architectural obstacles to maintain team momentum.

• Direct solution design and shape the engagement: determining necessary actions and the skills required.

• Provide technical and feasibility insights when a deal requires expert validation. You will inform the commercial dialogue; the Account Manager will lead it.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in technical consulting, solutions architecture, or delivery leadership (or 5 years with a Master's degree), with substantial delivery experience.

• Proven history of shaping and leading complex, multi-workstream engagements, closely collaborating with program management on planning and governance.

• Experience guiding customers through significant technological and process transformations, including change-management strategies.

• Background in mentoring consultants or architects, with the discernment to bring in specialized experts when necessary.

• Experience in delivering enterprise Atlassian solutions that adhere to security, access control, and governance requirements at scale.

• For this position, it is essential to demonstrate proficiency in one or more areas: Enterprise Service Management: Jira Service Management, ITIL, change management, incident and problem management.

• Delivery Governance: overseeing program and engagement governance, service-level frameworks, escalation management, and milestone and dependency management across workstreams.

• Enterprise Strategy & Planning: familiarity with Jira Align, Focus, and Advanced Roadmaps.

• World-Class Software Development: experience with Jira Software, Bitbucket, CI/CD, DevOps, and Scaled Agile methodologies.

• Cloud Migration: knowledge of Atlassian Cloud, JCMA, CCMA, and Teamwork Foundation.

• AI & the System of Work: expertise in Atlassian Rovo adoption, agentic workflows, and analytics.

• Relevant certifications in Enterprise Architecture, ITIL Expert, SAFe, DevOps, Prosci Change Management, or program/delivery management (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP).

• Multiple Atlassian Certifications (ACP, Atlassian Certified Master) are highly preferred.
