This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Collaborate with Duetti’s A&R team to negotiate and finalize agreements with artists and their teams, leveraging a deep understanding of the music industry while maintaining robust client relationships.
• Oversee the entire project management process for deals in close partnership with the Head of Sourcing and the Sourcing Operations team, ensuring a steady pipeline through data-driven evaluations and innovative lead generation.
• Engage in critical decision-making alongside the underwriting and legal teams, guaranteeing the completeness and precision of all documentation, and assist the investment committee during internal assessments and approvals.
• Create inventive solutions to rights-acquisition obstacles in close collaboration with the A&R team to meet challenging deadlines.
• Establish and nurture relationships with artists, managers, and other key industry stakeholders.
• Aid the A&R team in reaching ambitious objectives and milestones within a fast-paced startup atmosphere.
• Monitor essential deal points and discussions using internal platforms such as HubSpot, Airtable, and Notion.
• Keep a continuous watch on industry trends, competitor tactics, and emerging technologies within the music-fintech sector.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related finance or consulting position.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capability to interpret and manage complex, unstructured data.
• Familiarity with the music industry and confidence in navigating intricate contract structures.
• Proficient in evaluating opportunities and risks, making informed decisions during negotiations and due diligence.
• Ability to swiftly interpret legal documents and summarize them effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a proactive attitude suitable for an early-stage startup environment that demands initiative and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine passion for music and culture, with a keen interest in pioneering new business models for artists.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating efficiently with both internal and external cross-functional teams and creators.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a relevant discipline.
