• Guidehouse is in search of a Databricks Apps Developer to assist the AI & Data practice in creating and developing interactive prototype solutions, demonstrations, and reusable accelerators for the Databricks Center of Excellence (CoE).
• This position emphasizes front-end development, user-centric workflow design, and integration with contemporary Databricks functionalities (including Genie, AI/BI dashboards, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Model Serving) to produce engaging internal assets that demonstrate Guidehouse’s technical expertise.
• Design and create React-based user interfaces and interactive front-end components for data and AI prototype applications.
• Incorporate Databricks functionalities, such as Genie, AI/BI dashboards, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Delta tables, and REST APIs, into user-facing demo workflows.
• Develop intuitive, well-organized user experiences that emphasize technical capabilities in client-ready demonstrations and internal accelerators.
• Document front-end architecture and design patterns to ensure repeatability.
• Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams to quickly prototype and iterate on solutions, incorporating feedback from demo cycles to enhance UX and functionality.
• Convert stakeholder objectives into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria to steer front-end feature development.
• Integrate AI/LLM features through secure APIs and Databricks model-serving endpoints to facilitate prompt-driven or context-enriched UI flows.
• Create reusable UI components, scaffolding, and templates to expedite the development of future prototypes.
• Contribute to internal frameworks that standardize demo environments, code organization, and deployment patterns across the practice.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of THREE (3) years of experience in front-end software development is necessary.
• Strong expertise in React, Typescript/Javascript, HTML/CSS, and UI state management frameworks is essential.
• Experience in integrating front-end applications with REST APIs, serverless endpoints, or cloud-hosted microservices is required.
• Familiarity with Databricks functionalities such as Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Model Serving endpoints, AI/BI dashboards, and Genie is important.
• Proficiency in Git-based version control and modern development workflows is necessary.
• The ability to design intuitive user experiences and translate abstract concepts into well-crafted UI workflows is crucial.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills are required, including the capacity to explain technical application configurations to non-technical audiences.
