Database Developer – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Leverage your expertise in designing, migrating, and optimizing hybrid data architectures that seamlessly integrate cloud database services with traditional relational systems such as DB2, Informix, and MySQL.

• Work collaboratively with cloud engineers, application developers, data modelers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure database solutions meet mission objectives, performance benchmarks, and security protocols.

• Propel database modernization initiatives by adopting automation, tackling intricate data integration issues, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance cloud adoption and mission resilience.

• Employ Oracle, AWS, and Azure cloud database services (including RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL), as well as Informix, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and various relational and NoSQL platforms, while applying data modeling techniques, SQL scripting, database performance optimization, and DevSecOps methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, software engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficient in cloud database platforms, with experience in Informix and MySQL administration, SQL, PL/SQL development, data modeling, performance tuning, database security, and data migration across hybrid environments.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# that interact with databases.

• Security clearance level: Must successfully pass a background investigation for Public Trust suitability.
